What Wideband A/F Systems have Narrowband simulation to feed the stock ecu?

Hey there,

I am in the market for a wideband air fuel system, and I am looking for somethin that I can install permanently, with a connection back to the ecu, so that the ecu will still read o2 readings.. I'm planning to have it take the place of the o2 sensor currently on my car. thanks for the info..

the zeitronix wideband does it. I have it installed in my 1g with it simulating the stock 02 sensor.

Use the zeitronix I have it and it is amazing It datalogs and can simulate the narrowband and even change the narrow band it allows the ecu to think that the 16.0 idle is a 14.7 or any other way you have it plus it is only 300 shipped :)

Does anyone know if this is possible with the AEM UEGO wideband kit? If so, does it involve finding the correct pin in the ECU and what all needs to be done?

It is possible... I am running it in this same configuration.

-However:

*You MUST install the wideband O2 Sensor further down stream as previously mentioned (I put my EGT bung right after the flex section on the downpipe, so that it is positioned on the top of the downpipe, next to the driver's side half-shaft).

*Keep the OEM O2 sensor installed in the OEM location, and leave the OEM O2 sensor's heater wiring intact, as you will get CELs with it unplugged/removed entirely.

*I spliced in the WHITE wire from the AEM directly to my DSMLink-equiped ECU. The AEM EUGO's adjustment knob MUST BE SET TO "P4" to provide the correct output (narrow band emulation output: 0-1v+, per AEM EUGO's installation manual).

I've been running it this way for about 6 months now... Other then a SUPER rich startup condition, I have encountered no other ill-effects.

1G SPECIFIC: The OEM narrow band O2 sensor wire at the ECU is Pin #4 on the larger ECU plug... VFAQ has an illustration that can be located here:

quick question. can you just replace the stock 02 with a wideband o2 and can the ecu still read it while having a a/f gauge taped threw the ecu?

No, wideband sensors are current based, not voltage basedlikr the stock sensor. The signal must run into a controller and be first converted into a 0-5 voltage signal then converted to a 0-1v signal for narrow band emulation.

I know with the AEM UEGO kit you can. Like someone said above though, you're going to want to move the bung 18 inches from the turbo flange at a 10 degree angle. You'd have to block off the old hole afterward. If you plug it in on the O2 housing it'll wear out faster. I'm not sure what you mean in the last part of your sentence, but the a/f gauge would be hooked up directly to the o2 sensor with the AEM UEGO setup. You'll still need to do the work BoostedTalonDS posted above.
