Narrowband to Wideband Gauge Converter

Good idea or bad idea? I'm thinking it would be a cheap alternative. The only thing it doesn't have is an actual display of numbers.

It's not what you think.

This "black box" converts the W/B 0-5V signal of the "M" series PLX W/B system to 0-1V so can use the "blinky" AutoMeter narrow band gauge.

So would have to spend the $ for the PLX and the AutoMeter and the Converter.
