What wide band to go with?

Well, I do have DSMlink but it's not reading the proper A/F ratio I guess since I'm getting high numbers of knock on WOT even though I literally replaced everything that might be the cause of the knock problem.

Anyways, I'm looking for a cheap yet properly working unit. What's a good choice wide band to go with?

Any wideband that reads from at least 10:1 to 17:1 is good. Choose your poison however you want.

If you're having dsmlink issues, make a post on the dsmlink board. You'll get much better help there.

Knock usually isn't a problem of parts... it's tuning. Post up a log on dsmlink forums if you haven't already. The A/F ratio in DSMLink should be pretty accurate as long as you don't have boost leaks and it's set correctly. Under display values did you change the props for AF Ratio? Stock will read 450cc and 0 deadtime. Since you're using 650cc you should change that and the AF ratio should look better.

Getting a real wideband is not a bad idea though of course.

THe LC1 can log OBD2 and the wideband at the same time via logworks. So you can plot TPS and rpm vs wideband to aide in narrowing down when you need to make tuning changes. Logworks can also talk MUT protocol to talk to evo's and possibly late 2g dsm's. I am working with an employee at innovative to log 1g ecu's as well. It just makes it easier when the wideband data is in the same graph as the rest of your datalogging.

The 650's are setup correctly. According to DSMlink I have a 10.8:1 A/F ratio on WOT. I posted up a couple of logs on the DSMlink forums but noone was able to help...

Anyways, does anyone use the NGK wide band? It's around $240 and looks pretty impressive.

I have one sitting in my room, but haven't installed it yet. The kit looks real clean and it should hook up to any type of tuning device. I wish i had it on so i could tell u more bout it
