472 pump gas no meth? I just made 430 (dynojet numbers) but the car still wants to misfire on the road. Pulling plugs tomorrow and going from there. Still no afpr. My friends turned out to be a pile.

I'm tore between the two damn it.

Anyone have any solid spool up numbers for these turbos on a 2.0 7.8:1cr?

Jst4clyinder I didnt win you over with the talk on the phone? Lol just kidding. Im happy with the 6152r. Its fully spooled (26psi) at 5k. Im happy and my power peaks at 6200 rpm with the stock manifold. Droppinbottom you should bring your car by Pina Motorsports in Kent. Maybe I can get you a deal for an hour or something. (If you dont already know Andre ) I dont remember ever seeing your car around. Well anyways I retuned my car today for 26 psi (no meth) and its running good. 410 whp. Havent got a chance to beat it too much on the street yet thanks to sideways rain.

I have never been to Pina. I used to live in vancouver and when I head to dyno hopefully it will be at ETS. From what I understand they are up and going with their dyno finally.

What do you guys think of going GM Maf. I hear your tune changes drastically with a barometric pressure change. I think this is my only option besides going AEM. Any input would be appreciated.

ETS (Extreme Turbo Systems) is down in lacenter. I have been dealing with JR over there for quite a while. They have always been very helpful and now that they have their own dyno it will be nice. That and they work with English Racing alot.

I appologize as I have not read the whole thread but which 2 turbos are you trying to choose between?

It's fine.

I'm looking into the SCM 6152 (DBB) or a BW (< Big Winner? ROFL I mean Borg Warner) S256/S258.

And Layzie you did win me over on the power side but for that psi I just expected a little more power if I'm goona have to wait till that ~5k rpm marker.Could elevation make this difference? Have you tried tuning with it at all to increase spool up? Did you get the issues fixed that me and you were talking about?

wouldnt you want to decrease spool up?:sneaky::p

Im getting my s258 setup put on this week. I'll have some numbers pretty soon on this turbo. I will have to wait to crank up the boost ( i need some bigger injectors) so i'll be running on wastegate 15psi for a little while until those come in. Then its going to be a good pumpgas tune!

I'll keep people posted

If you are going from say sea level to Colorado then yea, But otherwise I wouldn't think it would be that big of a problem so long as your going from low altitude to high, you will just be running richer. It's that from high to low that I would think you have to watch out for.

And so long as you are running a conservative tune I wouldn't think it's a huge issue. Not enough of one for me not to use it anyway.

Ok. Im going to go GM Maf. I got an aeromotive regulator that my friend is going to let me use. I think with meth the 6152 would put down 480ish but pump gas is just a killer. I got 430 out of it but it wasnt working out for me on the street. The dyno pulls were clean with very little knock but as boost came on in 4th gear on the street it just didnt like it. So now im at 25 psi and going to tune again. Im going to get the afpr on and lean it out a little on the dyno and call it good till I get the gm maf. NewTurboTuner and I did a couple runs on friday. They were good races when he gave me the hit, but even then he would pass me at about 90-100ish. His car is definetly faster though. It was good shit. He was at 23 psi on 94 octane and I was at 25 on 92 running a little rich. I thought my car did good for full weight 2nd gen aganist a fast gutted 1st gen. There wll be more races to come.

the 3.5 GM MAF will be alot less restrictive in the intake too. That'll help with the 450goal for sure

2 years ago when I bought my car I've been trying to hit 500awhp on pump gas. The FP3065 gets me close, but not quite there on pump 92. I've got choices to make, since its about to crap out on me.

I didnt get the winning bid on that GT4088R we were talking about.
I did score this T4 HKS mani though...
