So i just purchesed a 91 GSX, the mods already installed are:

3inch Punishment Racing Downpipe, 3 inch Megan Racing Testpipe, 3 inch Apexi N1, Walbro 255 fuel pump, ACT 2600 clutch with Streetlite flywheel, I have a 3 gauge a pillar pod with a/f ratio and boost gauge, Pocketlogger, Hallman Pro MBC, Short throw shifter.

My question is, now whats the next step to increase peformance, a bigger turbo? should i start with suspension? The previous owner said he took the boost down to 12 psi because he was getting knock, I'm not a complete noob but this is my first turbo so i want to do things right and not blow the motor.

thanks for any info...:thumb:

Get a nice tuning solution before you get a bigger turbo, I recommend ECMLink if you can afford it. You may have missed it in whats on the car but before all of that make sure you have a decent AFPR to compliment that wally 255.

turbo-wise if its a street car, the Evo3 16g is where it is at!

That's dinosaur technology... at least step it up to ECMLink Lite

ok, so i will get a fmi and ECMlink...do they make FMI that will install without modding the front bumper? Also, i have that pocket logger but i have no idea how to use it or what it does!!!

Almost every 1g FMIC kit ive seen requires to at least modify/cut the front reinforcment bar...

The PalmLogger shows whats going in your vehicle by streaming data like Fuel Trims/ o2 Sensor Readings/ RPM/ etc... Its useful but not the greatest

ECMLink has a much better logging system

You're making it sounds like cash isn't too huge of an issue. you need to get an aftermarket, adjustable fuel pressure regulator if you don't already have one, in order to keep up with the flow of the 255. you need 650cc injectors before you step up turbos. and you need tuning software before injectors. you don't NEED an FMIC, people like the look of them, and it will do a better job cooling the charge, but for that $350 you can get almost everything you need first and keep it sleeper. (Don't forget, an AEM wideband needs to be one of your first upgrades sir.)

FMIC is a must if you want to make a good amount of power in the future (which im sure the OP is looking to do)

True, Im sure he can get away without an FMIC with the turbo he has... but if he's looking for a bigger turbo soon.. FMIC would be at the TOP of my to-get-list..
