I will be picking up an EVO III 16g within the next week or two, and was wondering what size injectors I should go with. I was thinking some 550's with and act 2100. Does that sound abount right?

if ya got a afc.... 660's ( go bigger then you need.. spend the mney one time ) if not.. then 550's

id go 2600 but its yer perogtive.

If I decide to can the EVO III down the road I will definately can the 2100 and go with the 2600. Most people that I have talked to said that the 2100 is pleny good for a car that tunrns high 12's, so I figure there shouldn't be any problem since I wont even be in that range. As far as injectors go... will I be able to boost over 19 psi on 550's with the EVO, or do you think I should go with 660's? What difference does it make?

Actually it makes a lot of difference. The reason he's ^^ saying go with 660's is because you will have the potential to push way more boost safely. That is if you have fuel control. If you dont have fuel control and you run 660's you will just run rich all the time and have idle problems and possibly damage to you bottom end due to piston wash.

I could easily see you surpassing 21+ psi with 660's, AFC, FMIC, & Walbro255 on 93 pump.

Ok, so as far as fuel mods go, would I be set with getting an safc II? I already have a greddy 24r, walbro 255lph, 3" dp/exhaust, blah blah blah....

Oh and another reason why I am kind of straying away from the 2600 for now is because lots of people have told me that it's hard on the tranny. Is that true?

FWD ? not very hard on it.. the tires give
afc2 will be fine.. im just sayin spend the money 1 time. if you ever plan on possibly wanting more out of your car. there not THAT much more.
ive heard 2100 dont last as long. it is 50% more grabbing power then stock so ya.. its plenty.
if your AWD and plan on burning all 4 tires.. then deff get 2600. but ya plan on the trans going eventualy either way. there not that stong in the first place.

2600 is only hard on the tranny when you drop it. If you are gentle like you should be as much as possible it only adds axial pressure to the crank when you are on the clutch.

reliability should not be affected by the clutch unless you drop it alot and break stuff.

when you replace the clutch you need to resurface the flywheel or get a new one.

Unless you feel you need an aftermarket flywheel just resurface the stocker it works just fine.
