Running MHI E3B16G and im gonna be DD'ing about 16 psi and max ill run is probably 22 psi. Im deciding between FIC 650cc and FIC 750cc

Which is more important to you at this juncture? Fuel economy or performance? I dont think either would be necessarily a bad decision persay.

What are you using to tune them? Why not just put a set in that match your end goals so you're not buying different sets of injectors as you upgrade. You'll never get out of a set of injectors what your initial investment was (in most cases). And, if you're running Link, you can get most any injector to idle and cruise like a stock injector. The only limiting factor is really price.

I have read that FIC 650s would be more than enough. FIC are apparently underrated (not too much but underrated). Sources are unofficial though.

I will more than likely step up to an E316 soon and will keep my 650s then check IDC.

you will be just fine with 650's and a safc controller, anything more would be a over kill. it would also be a good idea to upgrade fuel pump.

Yeah, I hear you. But sometimes the jump from one size to another, even within the same maker, is important, such as a radical change in dead-time or a subtle difference in spray and/or susceptibility to clogging on E85. But, in this case, since we're talking FIC 650s vs FIC 750s, a quick and simple: "no, there are no reasons to get the smaller ones" (with, maybe, the added useful factoid that both are 315 dead-time injectors) would have been a useful way to effectively end the thread. But then we wouldn't have gotten this gem of an idea that one of these injectors will lead to better gas mileage and where's the fun without that?

I figure that either 650s/750s would be a useless jump if you ever want more than an e316g. Say you want to to go E85...neither will be useful if you want to maximize the turbo on E85. Say you want to go 20g...then neither will work to maximize that setup either.

I'd go get 850s or 1000s come to think of it. (If you ever wanted to go 20g on pump you'd be in or ahead of the game it seems).

Now if you can get a good deal on used 650s then that might be something else to look at. Looks like 1000cc injectors are selling used for what I bought my 650s for used a year ago.

Opinions are all over the place with 650s and high boost for an E316g...but I am going to go for it already having a rewired 190lph pump and FIC 650s in place. Swapping out now wouldn't make much sense for me financially. Do you want to be in the same boat as me? If you do, that is cool if you have the discipline/desire to stay with the e316g. If not, then I would injector up. As for myself, I have other parts of my vehicle that I want to maximize. If I ever change my mind, I would have long since gotten my mileage out of my setup.

I've got a big16g on my car with all the support mods.. and I am running 650's with a REALLY good tune at 20psi, with 0 knock on my sensor at any time. So I think 650's are more than enough.

You can always tune larger injectors to act like smaller ones..Then say you want to go with more boost and larger turbo a year from now..No need to buy injectors again.

Unless you get a killer deal on 6 or 700s..Again go larger and you will not have to upgrade down the road..

Also this grinds my gears..The E3 is an evo 3.The big 16g is a big 16g.

Any idea what your IDC is?

If your plan is to be done, are you going after new or used injectors? That is the only time I can see it coming down to price....and even then probably not.

I'd go with the 750s with all things being equal if you are sure you are done.
