Not sure if this goes here, but it is about rebuilding... Anyway, I have Eagle rods for a rebuild I need on my DSM. Does anyone know what size Clevite bearing fit the Eagle rods? I got the OEM ones without thinking... Thanks!!! :talon:

Bearings are specified by the grind on the crank, not the connecting rods.

Make SURE that you use 1G rod bearings in your 2G block with the Eagle rods. If you look on the underside of the Eagle box flap (right where you won't look for it. Nice job, Eagle!), there is a sticker telling you explicitly to do so. Both bearings sizes will fit, but the 1G bearings are much more robust, and have larger oilers. I went through this with my 7-bolt Eagle/Ross build.

O wow!! thanks a lot!! :thumb:

Anytime. Also, make sure that your machinist checks the Eagles before you put them in the car. Sometimes, Eagle rods can be out of round from the factory, and have to be machined again. Luckily, mine were in spec, but I've seen quite a few that aren't. Good luck.
