What should I do, if anything.

Well im going to be selling my car when it comes time for spring. It has some things wrong with it that im going to start fixing (try to get done before winter).

Ill just keep it to the parts here that pertain to the drivetrain.

I think my clutch is bad, the guy before me had a big turbo in it and he probly launched it a bit, and he never said he replaced it. My friends think my clutch takes more pressure then usual but I doubt it. The car used to launch ok but now it hardly grips on a launch, a stock FWD talon ESI can almost keep with me on a 5k launch.

And if I get a clutch what should I get? and should I get flywheel to? I dont want it to really be modded, people wont want a modded car (and mines basically stock) but if your replacing it, why not use something better, I just dont want something to stiff.

So I have that problem, and my gears some days will shift like butter, some days they are a little more rough. car has 108k on it so id say its doing pretty good. Is the roughness from the clutch not gripping enough or is it the syncros? I'll probly do the clutch myself, but if its the syncros are they something i can fix? or does it have to be done professionally.

Im not sure if im even going to do any of this, I want the car to run good but I dont want to dump half the cost into it im going to sell it for. What should I do?

Well some of my older posts talk about how my car is a lot slower then it should be. If im selling it I need it runing how it should. I have a few ideas that I think might fix it.

First take off the turbo manifold and replace the gasket. We were going to see if my turbo is bad but my friend said its usually a good idea to put in a new gasket if you take it off. I thought well the guy before me had a different turbo, he probly just slapped it back on there, so its probably leaking like crazy.

Second check the turbo, see if its still good. If not my friend has about 5 stock ones laying around I could have for free, or a bigger garret one if I got piping fabricated for it, but im lazy.

Third since my turbo lags so bad (takes like 3k to spool the stock turbo...seriously) It could be huge leaks, or my guess could be the cat. 108k miles and its probly the same one that came on the car. So I dont know if I should gut it, replace it, or get a high flow unit, or a mid pipe. Like I said I want it to run good but I really want it to stay close to stock, people dont want modded cars. gutting it would be the cheapest but time consuming, replacing is replacing. mid pipe will probably make my car really loud.

Got some lifter tick going on again when I start in cold weather, gonna change the oil again before winter with 5w-30 mobil 1 or royal purple, should fix that.

Got that wierd starter noise....hard to explain but mine does it bad on first starts, my buddy scotts does it slightly on his 1g. Not sure if I should fix this (new starter?), anyone who knows the car will know whats going on, but some stupid guy will think its a huge problem and not want the car.

And other then this its just a bunch of small little things. Any comments appreciated

That's the spirit.

First thing you should do is use descriptive thread titles.

Second, you should NEVER cross-post.

And third, this is neither a PROBLEM TO DIAGNOSE, nor a DRIVETRAIN/TRANNY question.

Start with new plugs (properly gapped) and plug wires.

Merged and moved.

Yea I could have used a better title. I was asking about clutch/syncros so how wasnt that drivetrain? And how isnt my car running way slower then stock not a problem? Oh well probly get more views in newbie anyway.

But it has plug wires already and I replaced the plugs not to long ago, so that isnt it.

No ideas for what to do about the clutch, if anything?

Couple parts arrive today, will install tomarrow and see if it fixes anything.
