Well im going to be selling my car when it comes time for spring. It has some things wrong with it that im going to start fixing (try to get done before winter).
Ill just keep it to the parts here that pertain to the drivetrain.
I think my clutch is bad, the guy before me had a big turbo in it and he probly launched it a bit, and he never said he replaced it. My friends think my clutch takes more pressure then usual but I doubt it. The car used to launch ok but now it hardly grips on a launch, a stock FWD talon ESI can almost keep with me on a 5k launch.
And if I get a clutch what should I get? and should I get flywheel to? I dont want it to really be modded, people wont want a modded car (and mines basically stock) but if your replacing it, why not use something better, I just dont want something to stiff.
So I have that problem, and my gears some days will shift like butter, some days they are a little more rough. car has 108k on it so id say its doing pretty good. Is the roughness from the clutch not gripping enough or is it the syncros? I'll probly do the clutch myself, but if its the syncros are they something i can fix? or does it have to be done professionally.
Im not sure if im even going to do any of this, I want the car to run good but I dont want to dump half the cost into it im going to sell it for. What should I do?
