what should i do? (cracked head)

i've had my dsm for about a year, and i love it, but it's had it's fair share of problems. some i couldn't fix, like getting it to pass smog, and i was paying my friend to fix that while i was gone over christmas break, and instead it ended up wrecked and has a blown head now. the wreck wasn't bad, just some body damage, and everything else is fine except the head, and i am thinking of buying a celica alltrac that i found in the area. my friend might pay me and take the car himself, but if not, what should i do? sell it as a whole? part it out? if anyone has suggestions/ offers, let me know. thanks.

Was the accident your fault?? I dont know home much we are going to be able to help you decide what to do. Im guessing most people will tell you too keep it since we are all DSMers, but alltracs are sweet cars i love them. Personally i dont think i could give up my dsm for an all-trac. DSM do require alot of maintence but that is because they are 16-7 years old and older cars teand to break but if you just put some money and tlc into the car its will treat you right. The best thing to do is learn how to fix it yourself. It will save you a ton of money. in the 2 1/2 years i have owned dsms they have only been in the shop twice once for a/c and once for help diagnosing a problem. If i had a shop fix everything i would be much more broke than i am now. Now for all-tracs they are pretty rare cars. Being rare makes finding parts hard and performance parts even harder. This in turn makes parts very expensive. hope this helps you out.
