what rpm for hx40 full boost?

I was wondering when you guys are seeing full boost on your hx40 turbos, also what setup are you guys running. My cars running off the wastegate right now so I don't see full boost till like 7000rpm. Once the boost creep is fixed it will be running off the boost controller and I hope the results will change.

Something is wrong with your setup. Running 20 psi i see it at about 4000 rpm's. If i just run a vacuum line to my wastegate i see about 7 psi at less than 3500rpm's. What turbine housing?

What spring are you running in your wastegate? I believe I have a 1.5 bar spring. That could be why.

Thats about a 21psi spring. You definitely have another issue as you should be seeing that boost before 5k unless you're running the 19cm or 23cm holset turbine housings

I think I figured it out then, So I am hitting my full boost around 4000 because of that spring, and whats happening is that I'm creeping past to like 30psi
 
Once the boost creep is fixed and I'm running off the boost controller I will see how things start spooling then.

Better get that thing tuned and issues fixed or you'll be having some new big problems at 30psi

What hotside you have?

I see atleast 20psi by 4k in a .55 a/r BEP mitsu.

That was with blown exhaust gaskets and a cracked o2 housing ewg flange.

Boost creep would mean you are running more boost than you want to. What is your boost level at 4000 rpm's. I'm trying to figure out what your saying here. What boost are you seeing and at what rpm's. Details of your setup and some kind of log would help.

I think boost creep is your only problem then. What are you using for an 02 housing?

That's perfectly normal

15psi by 3800, 20psi by 4000, 25psi (full boost) by 4400

I'm assuming you're running a O2 mounted wastegate? If so...

You're going to have to port your BEP housing.. I also had the same problem and was seeing nearly 30psi by redline (not pumpgas friendly!)

Port the exit hole to match your wastegate valve, then port the volute for a smooth shoot into the wastegate exit.

The stock setup has a small hole and no direct path for wastegate flow.

According to Synapse you want your WG as the primary exhaust path, the turbo being the secondary. The stock BEP housing makes your turbo the primary exhaust path.

My tune is for 30psi on 93 :) so as long as I don't go over I will be fine.
