Hey people i have a 97 eclipse gst and currently the only mods i have are a injen intake and a full cat-back exhaust system i wanted to see were should i go from there ohh and also im new to dsm's cars so not really familiar

First and foremost make sure all the maintainance has been done to your vehicle. what size exhaust are you running? You should look to complete that exhaust system with a evo 3 GT exhaust manifold and a ported 2G o2 housing or you have the money do a ss o2 housing thats recirculated or dumped to the atmosphere. From there you should get a boost controller and boost gauge....if your still running the stock t-25 turbo u can safely turn up the boost to 13-14 psi...

Well ok my piping is a 3 inch from were it comes out of the turbo to the end of the muffler also the car has a 1g motor and tranny the thing is that im not sure what else has been done to it but to be honest it runs really nice...! Also im not sure what turbo im running how do i find out? I have two o2 sensors one in the front and one by were the cat goes and i just gave it a major tune up and as for my bov its not attached to the intake to recirculate...! Any recommendations?

ok this is what ive done so far...! new mounts a week ago, new radiator 3 days ago, new throttle body shaft seals and gaskets, new coolant temperature gauge, new boost gauge and it only reads 0 to 30psi, new oil pressure gauge, and when im going in the freeway at normal speed around 70mph and then i gun it full throttle my boost gauge reads past 10 past 15 and keeps on creeping up so when that happens i let of my gas pedal cause they say that its only safe to 13-14psi is that normal? had boost leaks but fixed it already...! also had vacuum leaks but fixed them too, and when im shifting through gears when its around 1500rpm and i try to take off it kinda bogs down and when it starts gaining more rpm it starts gaining more power what could that be? other than that i dont know if im running a stock turbo cause my j pipe is hitting my lower radiator hose and is also hitting my fan is that normal or is it because its a 1g motor? whats a logger?

Hey guys i need some help with this part...! I dont know were the wires are supposed to go or what this is all i know is that it must go somewhere...! It has 4 wires, a red wire, a yellow wire, a black wire, and a white wire please help...! IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN DISCONNECTED I THINK IT HAS TO DO WITH SOMETHING WITH THE TIMING

another thing is that i found out i have a evo 3 turbo i mean correct me if im wrong but on my turbo it says 49178-01470 I DID A BIT OF RESEARCH AND IT TOLD ME IT WAS A EVO 3 IS THIS RIGHT AND WHAT SHOULD I DO ABOUT IT CAUSE I GOT THE CAR LIKE THATROFL

Ok, well you don't know the mods you are running, so you need to give us multiple bay shots, write down #'rs on the turbo and injectors, find out if there is the stock fuel pump on it it or not. because that boost gauge climbing makes me wonder. Along with what you described as having no power around 1500 revs, that just sounds like turbo lag to me, the stock 14b and t25 turbos don't have a big noticeable lag. So get us pictures of everything.r

How about a shot of the injectors? and you need to get ahold of the old owner and ask him about the fuel pump, it sounds to me like there might be a surprise laying in the tank.
Because you weren't told about the turbo, or the exhaust.
And I don't think you're this stupid, I'm sure it was just taken off to get a picture, but your intake needs to be back on man. You don't want anything getting into the housing.

It sounds like your driving an eclipse to me. Its turbo. The more you mash the gas the higher the rpms go the more power you have when its running correctly. Of course you still need to shift around 6k rpms or before the redline to avoid any engine damage.

Turbo cars tend have a low end lag and dont make nearly as much power until the turbo gets spooled up. If this is your first turbo car it might seem a bit odd that it kinda jumps way up in power around 2200 rpms. I remember my first Turbo car, I was like man I thought these were fast test driving it, then BAM! Boost!

Boost creep is bad, sounds like you could use a MBC (Manual Boost Controller) or your waste gate is not functioning properly.

Wastegates function by diverting exhuast gases away from the turbo once the turbo reaches a certain amount of pressure (measured in PSI) a malfunctioning wastegate will not open or only open partially allowing the turbo to continue to spin more and more.

EDIT:
Myfirst mod to your car would involve the engine bay. 2-3 Cans of Engine Walmart Brand Engine Degreaser, and a large roll of shop towels. That bay is dirty.

one hell of a find. do you have an aftermarket boost gauge?

YEA I KNOW LOL IT WAS A FRIENDS CAR SHE TOLD ME IF I COULD GET IT RUNNING IN FRONT OF HER FACE SHE WOULD SELL IT TO ME FOR 700 SO I WAS LIKE ALRIGHT:thumb: IT TURNED OUT IT WAS ONLY A FUSE JAJA AND YES I HAVE A AFTERMARKET BOOST GAUGE I JUST INSTALLED IT LIKE A WEEK AGO ALSO A TEMP GAUGE AND A OIL PRESSURE GAUGE

yea but ive felt turbo lag before and it doesnt seem like turbo lag to me cause it sputters then starts hauling ass;)

Another thing is that my speedometer doesn't work cause the 1g uses a mechanical gauge so is it possible for me to get a aftermarket speedometer and go to my friends shop were they make custom speedo lines and hook it up? Thanks for the help
