Hey people i have a 97 eclipse gst and currently the only mods i have are a injen intake and a full cat-back exhaust system i wanted to see were should i go from there ohh and also im new to dsm's cars so not really familiar

damn man, what a steal. $700bucks!?!? 6 bolt, evo3, oh man that is great. upload some pictures of the car n te engine bay. now you have fuel pump, time to get afpr, 6an lines, and evo injectors.

Sounds like you stole the car. I hatechu. It tooke me 3 weeks to find a GST in driving distance for less than 3500. The 2 I found for 3-5k where all riced out

hahaha tell me about it ;) i already got a B&M fpr and gauge with it what is the 6an lines for? is it for the oil on the turbo? and what kind of injectors should i get? alot of people are mixing me up about what injectors to get....! and will my car need a tune cause it runs like crap i mean it hauls ass but on lower rpm's it sputters alot until it gets to like 3500 rpm....! also what should i set the pressure on the regulator? THANKS FOR THE HELP :thumb:

You definitely have a boost creep from what you stated earlier. I would work on getting that fixed first. With that full 3" exhaust your exhaust is flowing too freely for the turbo. You can get the turbo ported to help with flow and also upgrade to a 34mm wastegate flapper. Boost creep is not good, you don't want it to be constantly creeping on you when your giving it some gas.
Also like stated before if you don't already you should buy a Manual Boost Controller.

Cool Cool. I hate having a dirty engine bay. Usually the first thing I do with a new car is take it to a do it yourself spray car wash and spray down the engine bay and undercarriage with engine degreaser and the let let it soak. Spray it again and let soak, wash the car and spray it off with water.

Ok i got the b&m fpr with gauge, also got the 255 walbro fuel pump and im still running my stock 450's due to my budget also need to get the mbc soon hopefully

Looks like i have turbo shaft play it still spins freely but im starting to notice that the blades are almost hitting the housing...! Does anyone know were to get the rebuild kit for it or they dont make them

i just purchased my gst with a snapped timing belt, im in the process of ordering all new internals.

your fuel pressure at idle should be around 43 or so. if you need an injector upgrade i have a set of 450cc injectors that are brand new never installed that i would get rid of to you for a very reasonable price. dont let anyone talk you into going to a custom tubular manifold either!!! they dont perform anywhere near as well as a cast steel one until you get up into insane horsepower ranges then the only advantage is being able to put your turbo there you want it. mostly just my opinion but I believe cast is the way to go. if you get a aftermarket fuel pump i would go with a high pressure walbro 255. not the regular 255 make sure it is the hp. as for anything else i would make sure you are running cooler than stock plugs seeing as your running more boost than stock. this will further prevent motor damage. good luck!! nice find!

when a manifold that is cast gets welded the weld is strong but the metal imediately around the weld is weaker than before. like i said stay with cast though there are people out there that make stainless steel cast manifolds!! and yes it is very possibly to lose power due to a crack in the manifold. you should get a new one before going any further with the project. in my last post i said if you are going to upgrade when i meant if you arent going to upgrade to bigger injectors, i have a brand new set of the 450cc that you could buy to make sure you have no problems with fuel delivery. but i would go with rc engineering 550 or 650 cc injectors.

hey people i have a question....!! am i at the right boost level? the thing is that i only get to 9lbs of boost? is that normal... the car runs fine...!!!
