What kind of bolts in the head

Hi all,
I have a 93 laser n/a and im trying to pull the head, there are 10 bolts that i thought were 13mm heads, but a 13mm socket fits a little loose and slips, i tried this on one bolt and stopped right away, i put a 1/2in socket on and it was a real tight fit took alot to get it all the way down on the head, still, it will slip before the bolt will turn looking at these bolts, they appear to have more than six sides on the heads, whats the deal and what is needed to get these out??

sounds to me like you have the wrong sockets... or some weak ones... also make sure that your socket isnt cracked or got cracked...!!

You need a 12 pt. 12mm socket

They are not 10mm and not hex head. They are 12mm 12 point bolts

The hex socket is needed on the earlier head studs. You do need a 12 point socket. I'm thinking it's a 12 point 12 mm. If they are aftermarket ARP they will be 12 point 14mm
