What is wrong with my rad?

I was cruising around with my buddy , i guess pretty hard driving, not really tho, and it was getting pretty hot then a guy on a r1 cruises with us for a while and says im leaking coolant (not to much) but then hes like ya man u prolly blew ur rad, but he was on his bike at a stop light, anyways it just streamed out of a hose so we let it cool down then tried to get up to canadian tire to get some coolant and my rad light came on so i pulled over asap and let it cool down and put some coolant in then i drove home with no leaking cause my buddy was following me and soon as i pull up to drop my friend off it starts leaking from somewhere under the rad and then it stops and i pull away and drive home no problems taking it really easy , now i just got home and its not leaking and temp is reading fine, but when i first checked when r1 guy told me it was a little lower then the line

fyi there is no coolant on the block , its on the intercooler side on the lower hose i belive, but i cant get at it

I had the same problem that is because your car is overheating and your coolant resevior is boiling over. the dump tube for the resevior runs right down next to the radiator on the passenger side. I don't know what the problem could be. I'm replaceing the thermostat and hoses today and flushing the system. If that doesn't work then I'm going to have to get a new waterpump. Good luck in getting it fixed. I'll let you know if I fix mine today.

There's about 5 of these posts a day. Do a search.

-Replace the T-stat
-Replace the Rad Cap
-Replace the hoses

-If you want, flush your radiator. It might need it.

and BWT. When you check your coolant. Don't check the resivour. You pull the cap off and look for coolant there.
