WHAT is this sensor?

So I saw this sensor on my throttle body as I was pulling my trans. I have never seen anything like it and I'd have to pull the harness apart to see where the wire leads but maybe someone on here has something similar and can enlighten me. It connects in the plug in the last picture I believe. I'm talking about the thing right behind the first throttle body bolt.

looks like your idle switch. lets the ecu know when your throttle returns to the closed position. good idea to have hooked up.

The first connector is the throttle stop switch. Since you have a 2g you dont need that hooked up. That switch applies to the 1g. The second connector i believe is for the little capacitor or aka the noise filter. Its supposed to bolt to the intake mani.

OH I figured it out. Didn't realize this was a 1g throttle body. (Just bought the car not long ago) Cool, thanks guyz!

The connector from the Wiring harness, is your Fuel pump Test connector, It not supposed to be hooked up to anything, It is just to test the fuel pump, (LEAVE IT UNCONNECTED).

The Sensor that you have on the throttle body is for the Steering Pump, When you steer when idle, the pump sensor will send the signal to the ECU, then the ECU will throw current to the throttle sensor (pic #1), So the throttle sensor will bump up the idle to compensate for the steering pump.

You have a 1g throttle body, the 1g uses that sensor for the steering pump.
However, you don't need that Throttle sensor at all (pic #1), the 2g has that sensor integrated in the Throttle Position Sensor, The 1g doesn't have it integrated in the Throttle position sensor, that's why they use that sensor instead.
