also instead of making a new thread, i'll just ask this. I got an evo big 16g and with the J-pipe being close to the exhaust manifold will that be a problem? or should I heat wrap it like I did in the picture?

Its part of the evap system looks like someone already took it out. One of the lines you have to leave vented because it goes to your tank but some can be capped.

You can remove it. If its connected to a vacuum source and it is something other than the fpr, wastegate actuator, pcv, or mdp, it is useless.

thats what I thought, i just ordered so much shit and figured I might as well remove emissions while waiting.

Your j pipe looks fine I have one that is actually notched out to fit the manifold that's how close it is

Just wrap your manifold instead, it will keep the j pipe and everything else under the hood cool at the same time. Mine has about 2 cm of clearence and I ran a 12.1 with all kinds of problems/ boost leaks so apparently it doesn't hurt that much.
