2G What is the name of this seal?

Just replaced my speedo ring gear, and i noticed i have a small tear in the Driver side seal where the cv axle goes into the tranny. I checked threads and no one has a name for it, i need to order one fast so i need help!

I made a green arrow going to it and tried to circle it too.

Ive tried that at advanced and autozone and they dont have it. It doesnt have some special name like inner cv transmission seal?

Go to oreilly's. They should have it. Thats where i got mine from.

I found the part numbers for the seals on another forum.

OEM # 04797334 Dodge dealer.
# M04797334 Mits. Dealer.

I had trouble at advanced and autozone too. I went to dealership and paid 6 dollars i believe and it was great quality.

Output Shaft Seal is the correct term for them. Yes oreillys and napa and etc sell them.

Nope that would be the input shaft

Okay. Went to autozone and transaxle seal and axle seal dont exist, but they had the output. So what is the shift shaft seal?

That would be the seal that sits at the base of your shifter shaft

GOT IT! Its called the output shat seal like the member said above. 10 bucks at advanced and autozone.

Driver / passenger seals are the same on the Chrysler New Process trans.


Now would be a great time to drain / refill your trans fluid, by the way.

Aww man a little too late. And i did. I was installing a new clutch and i noticed they were ripped so i changed them.
