A couple years ago I attached a small aprox 2oz flat display to my dash skirt panel pad with velcro.

I just noticed that small amount of weight has been sufficient to pull the pad away from the metal frame in that area.

I want to securely reattach the pad and am wondering about the best adhesive to use. I have 3M Super 77, but am wondering if perhaps Loctite Stick'N Seal might be better (used that on the plastic door control panels after the staking pins broke :(). Any experience as to a good reliable choice?

PS. I've already cleaned the surfaces with alcohol, and maybe I should straighten the metal behind it as well -- that inward bend probably doesn't help.

Gorilla glue. Works wonders. Super 77 works good when making speaker boxes though.

Thanks guys -- sounds like Gorilla glue is the way to go. I've straightened the metal and am going to shape a piece of wood to fit between it and the brace for strength.

Bought a 2 fl-oz bottle of Gorilla Glue ($4) and the repairs took very little of it (there were three other areas needing gluing :(). It actually took three passes to glue the sagging front section, the first clamped further down from the top edge, but I didn't take a photo. The clamps need to be really close together for a strong bond. The piece of wood inserted behind where the metal bent is to prevent a repeat of that -- it transfers any pressure to the brace. Here are the repair photos.
