There are a couple places on my dash that are starting to separate and want to fix it before it gets any worse. I did some research on Google and read that window sealant can be used but wanted to check with y'all before I go that route. From searching on here as well, gorilla glue was mentioned as well as Loctite Super 77 and other various glues/epoxies.

Anybody have any advice/suggestions on properly fixing dash separations as well as reports of products used still remaining effective after long periods of time? The main spot is in a position where I will not be able to use clamps to hold down the dash while the Epoxy/glue/sealant takes hold, so Ill probably end up stacking weights to hold it down. I want to ovoid removing the dash if at all possible. I can get pictures of the spot tonight if requested.

Pics of the damage? This way I can give you a better informed answer.

Dash repair is not cheap usually. Its very time consuming and tedious. I can repair a lot of different plastics but dash's with heat/sun damage make it more difficult.

For cracks i usually use a piece of backing plastic. (Usually have to come up with a backing plate from scrap or an old ice cream pale. Flexible and works in a pinch)
glue 1/2 of the backing to side "A" and let it take hold. Then apply enough bond to make side "B" hold and firmly hold it to the backing plate. Wipe away excess glue and place a couple layers of painters tape over the repaired area cross hatch style. If you're still unsure if the repaired areas will lift up from the backing, find something heavy and weigh it down. You may need to razor- blade extra glue off, or sand it off. Dash repair paint is usually found at auto body supply stores. Like i said, dash repair is tedious

Pics would help alot more though

you need gorrilla glue. i have repaired a few dashes with it. it holds stong and lasts. use something to clamp down the material until the glue dries. I used vise grips to press together two wrenches (one on top of the dash material and one the backside of the dash) so that i got a good spread. Would be easier to show but I dont have a pic.
