1g OEM Dash pad/carpet?

During my last visit to the junkyard I noticed a strange piece of fabric/carpet wrapping a 1G Laser's dash board. I pulled on it and it came right off ( it was Velcro'd down ). It is a perfect, form fitting dashboard carpet. It has holes cut for the vents and covers the dash almost completely. It is a blue fabric. Almost looks like somebody made it but it is just way too detailed and perfect.

Has anyone with a 1g ever had a carpet piece covering the dash like this?

Its just a dash cover, they make them for all kinds of cars.

They are for protecting the dash from cracking fading and other damage, but they don't look very cool.

It's something my grandpa would have in his car. Those are pretty old school.

Those things are great as long as you aren't trying to race with it on. that thing will fly right off the Velcro on the track pulling some hard G's. It will definitely save your dash from the sun
