What is this part and what does it do, how do I get it back on? I've looked through my manual but don't know what it is.

That is the cruise control actuator. You need a new one. And judging the the throttle cable coming out if it, get that with it too.

yea definately cruise control actuator. i have one in perfect working condition... the entire assembly. pm if you want it. also going to the junkyard tomorrow could pull you a non cruise control cable for a small fee.lemme know

But do I need it? Sounds like its just for cruise control which I rarley ever use

then eliminate it and get a non cruise throttle cable

+1 on eliminating the cc. bay looks so much cleaner with non cruise cable.

You don't even have to but the non cruise cable if you don't want to spend any money. Just unhook the cruise cable from the box on the firewall.

So that whole box I can take off isn't there two cables tuning from this box? What do I do about the second cable

Ohh just unhook that one cable from the box sorry I read to fast ill do that instead
