95 talon TSI AWD. The 3/8'' hose on the back of the intake manifold next to the throttle body.. what is it for and is it an npt thread?

I'm looking for a place to put my gm IAT and id rather avoid removing the intake manifold for tapping if at all possible.

Thats the brake booster line. You need that to be there. Most people weld a bung on the IC pipping and then screw in the IAT. I'm not sure what the thread is

the problem is that i have methanol injection nozzles about 7" from the intake mani and i need the IAT to be downstream... looks like im stuck with pulling the intake mani

Why not unbolt the throttle body elbow, than drill and tap it, it has plenty of material and no ill effects placing it before the TB.

Make another hole and move the meth nozzle closest to the IM to the new spot you're tapping and then put the IAT in the old meth nozzle's spot maybe?
