[RESOLVED] what hose is this?

My friend told me this hose is swollen and needs to be replaced. Can somebody tell me what its called or where can i buy it?

Oil coolant hose, should be two of those going to your oil cooler thats right under your oil filter. A straight hose can work, but you can get one with a bend in it for a better fit.

If you swap a 1g turbo water pipe on, i don't think mine has that. So, what do you do to cool the oil then without going to a external cooler?

The 1990 DSM had an external oil cooler that was air cooled. The 91-99 have the water cooled oil cooler that uses engine coolant.

An air cooled oil cooler doesn't work as well in hot climates. It also DOES NOT work at all when going SLOW or idling. So I think that is why Mitsu switched to the more consistent cooling/flow of water/coolant.

Ok thanks. I knew the 90 was air cooled, and the rest were water, but I didn't know how they pulled it. I dont have mine laying in front of me, but I dont remeber it though. Thanks for the help.

that is the coolant line that goes to the oil cooler on the oil filter housing,

cant really help ya on where to get one

When I rebuilt my 6 bolt. I went out and bought about 6 feet of 3/8" Fuel/Emissions line.

It is a Braided Thick rubber hose that with withstand all the heat and oil you can throw at it. Just go get a 7" piece of that for 2 bucks. Or get about 6 feet and replace ALL of your small coolant lines just to be safe!
