Okay....What hose is this???

Well Ive been trying to find a boost leak for a long time, and still no luck. Its pretty loud, and I think its comming somewhere from the back of the intake manifold. It doesnt sound like the throttle body, and Ive sprayed it with soapy water. Its more near the middle of the actual manifold.

So, today I was looking, and I noticed a big hose that Ive never noticed before. It comes out the back of the intake manifold and goes into the firewall. The hose is about an inch in diameter. Does anyone know what this hose is for? And is it a place where I would be able to get a boost leak?

If not, Im out of ideas. I dont know where else to look. Are there any common leaks located byhind the manifold? Thanks-

The hose is right around there in the back. Its pretty high up.

That would be for your brake booster.

Oh alright, so yeah, I doubt the leak is comming from there.

I was so excited because I saw a loose vaccum line, but it just went to the egr sensor, and there was no change. I have no idea what to do x-x

Your brake booster can leak if the check valve inside the hose is messed up.

There are only three hoses coming off the plenum, Starting drivers side rear vacuum booster 3/8" moving to the front fuel pressure 1/8"(right behind the first electrical harness bolt) and the last goes to the blowoff valve 3/16" (behind the 2nd E. harness bolt). The only other fitting goes to the PCV in thevalve cover.

If there are any others someone installed it along the way.
