What happens when a clutch isn't aligned properly?

Reason I'm asking is because I didn't use a tool. Didn't have one. Auto stores were closed and the tranny was on the ground.

Tranny went on no problems. I'm betting all that tie rod bashing I did is what's causing my trouble. Well, that plus the axle boot is sheered.

The clutch tool is just to alighn the cluch disc so that the transmission goes on easier. If you got the transission on, even if it was off a little, it should be correct the first time you push the clutch in. Good luck.
