Hi everyone i own a 1992 talon tsi with an automatic trans and its awd. I have just done a head gasket, balance shaft elimination and any other gasket you can think of now its time to refill all my fluids and i need to know what fluids will work with my trans and transfer case and also how much of each of them to use.

heres a fluids shopping list for you...

- BM trickshift synthetic A/T fluid and depending on where you drain it from it will take from 4 to 7.1qts. if you drain if from the drain plug you'll need roughly 4qts to fill it back up. if you pull the valve body out another 3qts or so will come out of the tranny and the torque converter holds some also. i would think to do a FULL A/T fluid change buying 8qts would be good.

- Red Line 75W/90 gear oil for the xfr case (.5qts) rear diff. (.9qts) so your going to want 2qts total.

would i be able to get redline and BM trickshift synthetic A/T fluid at autozone and do you have any ideas on prices?

autozone doesn't carry this stuff. i order all my fluids from RRE Road Race Engineering's Eclipse Synthetic Fliudsbut im 2 hours down the street from them so the stuff gets here overnight for regular ground shipping. if you decide to order from them you can't effectively do it off the website so your going to have to call. talk to Sam, Honda, or Mike... you don't even have to tell them how much you want. just tell them your changing the fluid in your A/T tranny and fluids in the xfr case/rear diff. then they'll suggest the type of fluid and send the correct amount as well. those guys at RRE know what they're doing...
