My clear cam cover is all hosed up due to some kind of fluid/liquid getting on it. Its been like this for a while and has been getting worse and I need to figure out what it is before I buy a new one. Only thing I can think of in close vicinity that could get any kind of fluid/liquid on it is the power steering. I'll post up a pic after work. There is no visible leaks that I can see.

What side of the cover is it getting on? Could be a pinhole size leak that you wouldn't notice and then under pressure could be slightly leaking and spraying onto the cover. Could be brake fluid or the power steering line that runs right along side.

Also color of liquid would help... and lastly, hell why don't you just taste a dab? Aint gonna kill ya.... that's how I always find out real quick.

I thought I was the only person who was taught the taste test method. I had a 1/16" slit in the radiator hose and it was spraying over to the cover. But like Bluefire said, there are numerous things it could be. Check hoses best you can and go from there.

If it's on the inside, most likely oil.

If it's on the outside, could be anything except probably trans fluid. Brake, clutch, oil, PS, and coolant are all in that vicinity.

Its on the outside. I chaned th o-rings in the PS because the fluid was inline with that bolt for the feedline. So far so good and I haven't marked resolved yet until I know for sure that was it.

By chance have you check your dipstick seal. Mine was distorted and I lost oil onto my cover when I was boosting. I also thought power steering was my problem and resealed the fitting but found the dipstick seal was where the oil was coming from.

Just trying to help in case the power steering line was only part of your problem. Other people might have similar issues that a steering line repair doesn't correct. Remember we are trying to help many people, not just you, who read these posts.

Thanks for the help, but yea I don't have blow by.

If it is on the inside of the top timing belt cover it is very likely engine oil getting past a can seal. That is my best guess.

If it is on the outside it is likely power steering fluid if you still have power steering.
