Hey everyone we are building up a mighty max. Its a 1994 2wd with a 4G64 block. We are swapping a 4G63 head onto it (1G). We got most of the mechanical stuff figured out but we are stumped for tuning/running a ecu. I was thinking we can just get rid of the stock harness/ecu and run a eclipse harness/ecu. Does anyone know if this will work? The only things I see that the truck harness/ecu would have that the eclipse wouldlnt is; backup lights off the trans, and a 'shift up' light if it had one. Any input? Thanks

What if any sensors does a 4G64 block have that a 4G63 doesnt have, or vise versa? The main sensors I am aware of are all on the intake/head. Is it possible to run a ECU off a 1g with this truck?

Does anyone have a 4G64 with a knock sensor on it? I was looking all over my block and dont see where one was/is supposed to be.

Hey so I think we may have a fix, were hoping to run a 1g eprom ecu, with 1g harness, and do dsmlink. Should this work?

There is some threaded holes on the side of the block. I was talking to someone who told me that all 4G series motors had them, there looks to be a spot for one but its dirty like it never had a bolt/sensor in it.
