What does this mean?

I have a 95 Talon TSI that is fully stock. I have heard that stock I have a 7-bolt engine or whatever. And then when I hear people talking about havinga 6-bolt or whatever it makes me wonder what the H*LL they are talking about. What is the purpose of getting a 6-bolt?
