What does "GM" mean in gm maf? I tried the search button already

Im sorry I got a good laugh out of this post, I just asked my wife, (who does not care about cars at all) what GM means and without hesitation she tells me General Motors. I got a good chuckle out of this.

General motors as in chevy, gmc. Go to a junk yard and look under the hoods of 94-99 or so (probably not acurate) chevys ,and look on the intake. Boom gm maf sensor. Ive got one on my 96 blazer. They are very easy to find and you can remove one with only a penny. Lmk if you need one

.......then I'm not sure how I got to thinking it stood for something way complicated so i googled it and found "general motors" mafs but it still didn't cross my mind that it really was simple as what I thought to begin with

It stands for "Google ME" . GM Maf. Impala SS or Corvette Maf is all it is.

Some people would rather run a MAF than SD. Be glad we can do either with our vehicles.

Plus.... GM MAF and MAF-T can be had for around 150$.

DSM-Link, (Or Jackal for 1g owners), and SD Setup is a lot more than that.
