basically tell me what yall guys opinion is on my setup. just by looking at it. ill be uploading new pics very soon of my new bay. but i have pics and all the info up there already. basically what im asking is do you guys think the combination of parts are okay. or is there anything that i need to change? just your opinions of my setup on my car. sry if the question is confusing. thats why i put it in the newbie forum.

What setup are you referring to, what are your plans/goals with the vehicle? One setup could be amazing for a track but suck for autocross.

What setup are you referring too?

well honestly i just want a daily driver that sorta packs a punch so to speak. an my setup consists of ssac FMIC, fp 4" intake, fp race manifold, fp T28 turbo fully ported, evo 3 o2 housing, 1g bov, apexi n1 catback exhaust. factory boost controller, factory down pipe, factory fuel system. is this setup okay for a daily driver or is ther anything yall would change?

You can't add all that stuff without any fuel system support. You will also need a walbro 190 or 255 along with a proper afpr. Bigger injectors and a way to tune then should also be on your list.

So just the stuff that it is your profile (which you could have stated). You want a DD which any vehicle (within reason) can be called. So no track goals, no hp goal?

Get yourself a 190lph pump, 650cc injectors, and a SAFC and you'll be fine I suppose (since I don't know what a "punch" is).

Well depending on your wants adding fuel mods and management tools are good. Car looks like its on a decent build but not enough to really satisfy most dsm'rs. Id look at getting a tuning devise, then into fuel pump and injectors. Then you could run that evo3 16g at a higher boost level and really have some fun. I miss my evo3 i can't wait to rebuild it.

Cams,Injectors, built bottom end or 6 bolt swap, walboro 255lph fp,Dsmlink and a tune.........Probably a stronger tranny also.......Your going in the right direction tho keep up the good work dude!!!

Depending on his goals he might not need a built bottom end. 7bolts even with the wimpy rods have been proven to hold 350-400. Its not recommended over 400 but up to 350-400 you should have decent reliability. If looking at making more then that then upgrade bottom ends.

thanks for all the comments and suggestions. i guess if i was too put a hp goal on things i think about 450hp would be well within reason. especially the way i drive. but i know that makin 450 on the T28 is impossible. but i gotta start somewhere... right? LOL anyways maybe in the near future i will see a 3076r. and 450 hp.....

so basically i need to get a fuel pump, an afpr, bigger injectors, an dsm- link. and ill be on my way one step further. but as far as what i have now.....Does Everyone agree that i have a good combo of parts. and im on the right path? LOL :)

thanks man.. im trying to keep up the good work. :)

anyone else got any input?

You have a solid platform to work from and your on the right track, just keep it up and don't half a$$ anything since you want it to be your DD :thumb:

Ya man you'r on a good start. Its all about being smart and not doing thing half ass'ed and being sure your tune is good(most important thing). If you wan't a DD dsm then look forward to doing lots of maintenance work. Not like fixing parts but ensuring there all tight and in proper working order. I check over all my bolts and clamps at least once a week just to be sure it's all good. Youv got dsm-link which is a great addition. I wish i had it, but i bought my car with a safc2 and really don't got the cash to switch yet. I'm really drunk right now so if i don't make since im sorry, but I will tell you as ive told others, If your looking for 450hp then start building for at least 550 as the 450 will get old quick:D. Boost is never enough and will always leave you wanting more. I guess im pushing at least 300hp to the wheels as i smoke vettes and sti's all day but its still not enough and this was my original goal. Good luck man i hope you get what you want out of the car. If you have any questions ask us well help you out the best we can:hellyeah:
Your internals will not hold that high of hp but a 1g set of rods/ crank and 2g pistons will. Id look into saving for those upgrades as you save for bigger and better mods.

Thanks again. Im never going to cut corners, Im just tryin to make my setup to the best match and quality of parts. and it is also nice to hear from fellow dsm'ers that my setup and combo of parts is a good setup. And its good to hear i havent cut any corners on my project.

You should be good man!

Okay well i was thinking my next step at this point would be to get an, AEM wide band air/fuel ratio guage, and a autometer mechanical liquid filled boost guage. -30vac to 30 psi. An a dejon powerhouse manual boost controller. Also a ati dual steering column guage pod. I was think to set the boost level around 14 to 15 psi. depending on the air fuel ratio. :hellyeah: what do you guys think?

I think that sounds good, but like others said before: before you go turning the boost up, you need to address your fuel system. Tuning (dsmlink, safc, ect) some injectors (650cc-to?), and a fuel pump (walbro 190 or 255lph). After those parts you'll be able to turn the boost up and really get the most out of your setup as a whole.

Thanks for the info. looks like i got alot of things im still gonna have to do. but im going to set the boost to 14 or 15 psi and drive it like it is right now... hopefully ill be able to get away with it. LOL thanks for the input from all of you. im glad i have the dsm'ers seal of approval....... :) :thumb::hellyeah:
