Alright sorry to bother you again about this. i found this rebuilt engine on ebay. if i bought this and dropped it in my car and installed a turbo kit would it be fine runnging 6 to 8 pounds of boost. tell me what you think and suggestions. i dont want a 4g63 so please dont say sell your car and get one. thanks guys.

Might i ask why the HELL you DONT want a 4g63? They are such a better engine, especially for boost.

So answer us the question that is burning in our minds...why keep the 420a?

because everyone has a 4g63 and i want to build a 420a turbo. why do you own a dsm and not a honda. cause you want to. well i want to build a 420a.

Alright well i might of just found a 420a out off a neon. i can get it cheap. its a friend and he is a mechanic. said it runs good. if the engine runs good and i buy a turbo kit for it off ebay what else will i need except for a tune. i only want to run 8 psi tops. here is the turbo kit.

im going to buy turbo and a/f gauge. anything major though i need that isnt with this kit. let me no please. and thanks. i no ebay turbo kits aint the way to go but im doing it so please just answer my questions

at least get a wideband. It seems like you're gonna do what you want anyways, so why ask for people opinions?

4g63t + a few bolt ons and some type of tune or management = big power. But you do seem to have your mind set on a 420a. Good luck with that.

You told us your budget, and they gave you the best cost efficient method.. which was the get a 4g63.

The master rebuild kit with you doing the labor is the cheapest method. Can't be more than a few hundred bucks with some standard machining needed.

But the biggest concern that you need to address is the fact you had to ask if the ebay kit was complete.. which means you need to have someone else help you with this entire thing.. with quality parts. That's out of your budget. If this is a learning experience for you I hope you have another car to drive

4g63t > boosted neon

You can buy a 1g awd for 1k spend another 1k on parts and probably run faster then you ever will in a boosted 420. If your really stuck on the 420 why not get a neon, im sure the car is much lighter then a 2g, probably 1000lbs lighter.

What he said. In my opinion keep the 420 for your dd and pick up a gsx to play with on the side.

i dont no were you guys are from but around here the cheapest dsm turbo is like 2500 and dont run right or with a lot of miles.
