what do you need to install a T3 turbo

my friend at school said he would sell my a Garrett T3 turbo for $100 is this a good deal? and if i get it how hard would it be to install and what would i need some one please help me because i am pretty sure the turbo on it now is bad because when it boosts high it struggles really bad. so just wondering if i should get the new turbo or not. And by the way he said the turbo has no shaft play

You need to know a little bit more than just it being a T3. What size is the compressor? Turbine? A.R.? Also, is it a 5 bolt outlet, 4 bolt outlet or even a v-band? You are going to have to get the appropriate flange then make an 02 housing to accommodate. You are also going to have to switch out manifolds and more than likely oil lines.

well my friend told me it had a 4 bolt outlet but i do not know what else it has or the sizes everything is.

Ask him some of those questions... compressor size .ar turbine size, etc. 4 Bolt outlet, you'd ###### need a custom o2 housing.

he is going to let me take it home and look at it first before i decide whether or not i should buy and i was just wondering if i would need to change anything. i think he said it came off of a dodge. but it comes with a wastegate also will the wastegate work with the eclipse or will i have to buy a new one. and he also said that i can make my own brakets with steel. is this true PLEASE get back with me and let me know i would like to know how much it is going to cost so i know whether or not i am going to buy the turbo.
