What do you guys think about this 95 Tsi AWD?

Hey Guys,

Well I just sold my Civic, and am looking into the DSM world. I am looking at this 95 Tsi AWD.

Here are the specs:
155k miles on chassis
74k miles on a 7 bolt motor and tranny from a 98 Tsi
4k miles on new clutch, timing belt, wires, plugs, o2 sensor
brand new refurbished t25 with 0 miles on it (took off a t3/t4 hybrid)
2Gb front bumper and headlights
18" black 7 spoke rims (unsure of brand)
A pillar gauge pod with boost, oil pres, oil temp
brand new shocks, springs, control arms

He is asking $6100, car needs nothing. What do you guys think on this?

It sounds good, but I think that's a bit too much for the mileage and stock car.

Make sure to get receipts for work done to it and all parts.

Maybe more people should chime in before you purchase the car.

Didn't look at the pics. Are the pics up to date? Because I see a tubular manifold.

Pics are with the tubular manifold and t3 still on. He is putting on a ported 2g stock manifold to fit with the t25. Yeah in the pic the rims that come with the car and 2g GSX bumper arent on. I will get more current pics soon.

For me, it's way too much for a car that's now stock but was modded and beat on, that's the worst of both worlds.

But damn that is way too much for that car. Heck I would even sell mine for halft the price of that one if I ever did. And mine doesn't need anything either

Yeah, definitely overpriced for a stock car with a engine that maybe is beat over from T3 turbo.

According to KBB (which we no isnt always accurate, but a good idea anyways) my car has 86k and is worth $6200. When i bought it i paid $6500...3 years ago and it had 56k, car was valued at 10k. I got a hell of a steal, ### everything else was going for around 9k. And mine was stock.

I wouldnt pay that much for a modded car, plain and simple. In other news...KBB has gone up A LOT recently for our cars, which is GOOD.

Even if it has been modded, it doesn't mean it was mistreated. I 'beat' on my car all the time, but I don't abuse it. If the seller can provide receipts, and the car checks out, then go for it. I would try to get it down to 4.5K if you can though.

Thats too high for a car that was modded and then returned to stock. You dont know if he beat the hell out of it all the time ot if he just drove it hard from time to tim. Id say 3.5-4k

i agree with him.... it is a bit high.... if i were you id get s bone stock one.... you wouldnt wanna buy someones car headache and problems...

eekk...This is where I tell you to go over the car with a fine tooth comb.

If you see constant wire taps, twisted with electrical tape, Half-assed jobs here and there, rust in some places, Nasty interior will tell you how its been treated, etc.

ya maybe if had a built motor and the bigger turbo I would get it but not for a stock 7 bolt with a t25. That car is worth about 4500$. It looks pretty clean from what I can see which isnt much. No car 15 year old car never needs nothing. Trust me.

As for KBB no one really uses it anymore. Everyone uses NADA

I'm selling my car but only for 5200-5400. Which is what its valued. I would never over charge. Usually means problems and the person needs it gone quick.

ouch.. 6200 for a fwd 2ga with 96k miles?? now thats OVER PRICED! you could have been AWD and 2gb for that. but if you like it, then thats all that matters.

I did love the car. It was stock so I didn't have to worry about someone doing a shit job modding it. It was owned by an old man before me. So I didn't think twice. Now I wish I wouldn't have over-paid. I feel stuck with it. Convertible and like 8 ft of snow in the winter is not good. Plus I don't have a garage.

I have a 97 AWD I love it, it came with way more mods and a 95 eprom with chip. I bought it for 3,500$ the care looks good just way to much!
