Hey guys whats up I have been battling with this issue for a while with no success in finding whats wrong however I know what its not. Which is cool.
What do these symptoms sound like?
Engine clicking sound during idle and acceleration really loud (not lifters)
And sort of a squeaking accompanying the clicking sound also very loud.
When in park car idles okay a little above 1000 rpms. When in drive car idles poorly wanting to bog and die.
Car is in really good shape otherwise and has no known mods
All things that checked out okay: alternator, oil pump, turbo, exhaust manifold, boost not leaking and if it is I just haven't found it, battery good, belts good. No smoke of any kind nor is there any fluid leaking from anywhere. Oil pressure is okay, oil level a little low but okay. No cracks found on any exhaust components.
So what do you think?

could that be a problem this clicking sound just started and when it started it was already loud and by loud I mean if you were lets say 20 feet away inside your house with the water running you can still hear it clearly. I would say it sounds kind of like a spray can rattle just more precise.
Not to skimp on quality
I don't think I've ever heard it called that, since there is no pulley on the tensioner, but I think you mean the crank pulley, and if so, that's a really good suggestion. If that thing is falling apart it could be making all kinds of bad noises. Check that out ASAP as well, if it falls apart completely it could take out all your belts and possibly get into the timing belt.
, Im debating with just replacing the darn engine, don't know if thats a good idea, Im mean I don't mind doing it because doing internal engine work is not something I'm real familiar with. I will try most anything once with some instruction.
if I can make it permanent and hop it up with out worrying about moving cranks and so on I would like to. I like the 7bolt "but it may be a waste of time"
