What data to include in data logs?

I have ElmScan for my 2g TSi AWD and it can only take so much data at a time, what data do I need to include in logs, particularly for looking at idle issues and general diagnostics?

It doesn't show fuel pressure, boost, knock, etc.

It does show mph, rpm, water temp, o2 1/2, short/long trims, timing, load, tps, and maf flow.

Also, should I just log some idle or do a third gear pull like people with real logging gear do?

I'll reply to this thread with my first log when I know what data I need to log.

No offense bro, but if your logger doesn't show knock, it's a worthless logger.

Nevermind, ordered a VAG 409.1 and EvoScan like I should have to begin with.

When it's all here, when I post logs which data should I include?
