what could this piece be of?

im at a total loss, im not sure if its actually from my car but i found it underneat while i was in the process of changing my head gasket.

my engine is a 420a 1997 btw. manual trans

that thing has like a 1" hole in the middle, I doubt it's a shift bushing. Look at it in relation to the keys on the keyboard...

It's a much smaller (in diameter) bolt on the 420A . I originally had the same thought but it looks even too large for the 4G63.
