what could this be?

alright guys. so i have a 90 eagle talon awd turbo. upgrades are 2gexhaust manifold, dejon intake, ported throttle body elbow, MBC, big 16g, crushed BOV, and PTE 580's. i am running 14-16psi perfectly fine. but when i installed my walbro 255, i start hitting a fuel cut out type deal. it happens at about 4500rpm, or 15lbs boost. what could be going on with my car? oh, and the exhaust housing on the 16g is perfectly fine. it isnt cracked or nothing. some insight from people that have had the same problem would be nice. and please guys, none of the "my guess would be..." b/s. thanks

My guess could be that your going to rich and flooding your cylinders out. You have no way of tuning the fuel pump( ie, AFPR)...Do you have a logger or wideband. What are your a/f or trims??

it has something to do with the engine getting to much fuel and running rich

thanks guys, but no. i dont have an AFPR, im still researching to find the best one. and i was going to buy all the datalogger and pocket logger equipment from a guy but i could never get ahold of him after i told him i had the money. what do you guys suggest for an AFPR?

A good general rule is ALWAYS get an Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator when changing to a larger fuel pump. The Larger pump has a tendency to push more fuel than the Stock FPR is able to flow.

That usually only affects LOW speed fueling, like when Idling. So check to make sure you didnt foul out your spark plugs with all that extra fuel.

B&M makes a good AFPR. Get a new set of NGK BRP6ES spark plugs while you're at it!
