I searched on how to cross reference it to a evo 3 or a dsm and still not 100%. Id appreciate any help. Guy says its a evo block.

Really no way to tell from those pics brotha, and I don't think you can anyway. There really is no difference in the shortblock

Looks like a 2g/7 bolt, with a 1g CAS, and maybe even an evo intake mani.
EDIT: looks more like a 2g mani

The block might be but everything else is different. Other than maybe the valve cover. Water pump is different, cas is different, has an elbow installed which an evo doesn't have. Manifold isn't like an evo. I could probably go on. The power steering pump doesn't look the same either...

Also he's missing a turbo bolt. Might want him to get on that.

I'm going to guess its a 6bolt swap with a 2g head based on the 1g style dipstick and 1g cas with the 2g intake.

According to this thread, they have 9.0 CR vs 8.5 CR in a 2g.

Evo 3 engines like to break ring lands, they are not as stout as a dsm engine.
