What 2g motor parts can be used as upgrades?

I was told that there are certain engine parts off a 2g motor that can be used as upgrades for a 1g motor. Is this true and what parts to be exact if anyone knows?

Talking about 4g63T motors: The higher compression (8.5:1) 2g pistons are an upgrade over the lower (7.8:1) 1g pistons. The 2g exhaust manifold is slightly better than the 1g as well. The third is the throttle body elbow, 1gs were plagued with horribly small openings. The last is the MAF, it flows more than the 1g.

Also, though opinions vary, the 2g head can be considered an 'upgrade' to a 1g.

May I ask why the head?

The general consensus is that the 1g head has better top end and the 2g has better low end.

Past that, some people prefer a 2g head because of better port velocity.

There is more "meat" on the 2g Head. The 1g head is probly a touch better if left untouched between the 2.

The reason I was asking is, I have a friend that wants to sell his 7 bolt to me and I didn't know if it was worth buying.
I am running a 6 bolt in my 2g awd and I am in the process of a rebuild. Just trying to get a little more knolage about these motors.
