Were there different t-case housings?

Well the problem is i bought a 91 eclipse from some kid all beat up i ended up putting a new tranny. The t-case had yellow marker on it like it was from the junk yard. It was on the car with a real big crack on the bell housing of the tranny so i think it rubbed and wouldn't seal right so it leaked. I bought a t-case off ebay and it's different from the one i got. The housing that is i mean they are both 22 spline but like i said before different housings. The bolts holes look good and everything so i was just wondering if maybe the talon one is different or different years are different anyone know?

Some of them had an aluminum casing and some of them a cast iron casing. But they should all mount up the same and be interchangeable.
