Welding question, stainless steel J-pipe w/ aluminum bung.

Hey guys,

I have a steel J-pipe from VRSF and I accidentally ordered an aluminum weld in bung instead of a steel one to tap into the j-pipe for a pressure source.

Is there an easy way to seal these two together? From what I know they cannot be welded as they have different melting points.

Or will I need to re order a steel one and have someone weld it for me?

Save yourself the head ache and order the correct one.

I'm a welder and I would not do this. Why don't you tap a hole in the piping and take a bung off a stock t-25 and screw that in? I did that and it worked good

That is actually a good idea. I have a T25 laying around. I'm not home right now to look at it but is it easy to get the fitting out of it?

10 or 12mm (I think cause it was a few years ago) deep socket and mine came right out. If your worried get some pb blaster
