Weird spark problem

I have a weird spark problem. I get spark only when I let go the key (not cranking) when it starts cranking the spark don't exist, until I release the release the key and only sparks for a bit.

It's on a 1995 eagle talon awd auto.
I'm thinking it's the mpi relay but don't know how to check it. I tested the ignition coil and the ignitiong control module (translator)

Is there a way to check the mpi relay.

The MPI controls the ECU and the ECU controls the spark but the actual spark is from the ignition power not the MPI.

I'd first be verifying the ECU works then checking coil and power transistor and move onto the crank and cam sensors.

Turned out to be the Crank position sensor was broken due to the balance shaft belt ripped.
