Weird Misfire?

I just got my car up and running and I am having problems with a weird misfire. If I rev it up in nuetral when it comes back down to idle it will start missing, but if I let it sit and start it up its gone. Any idea's as to what it could be?

Without hearint it my guess and it is just a guess that you may be pumping your lifters up to the point that at idle they are slightly holding the valves open. Shutting down would let them bleed down and would explain the good idle when started back up. Good Luck
