2G Weird misfire above 3.5k rpm

The misfire only seems to occur when WOT. If I ease up into it, its almost nonexistent. I'm under the assumption its plugs. I asked the previous owner when he changed the plugs and he said they were done no more than 1000 miles prior. However, he did mention using bosch platinum, which from reading these forums I hear is a bad idea. The plug wires also look like they could use a a change so I went ahead and ordered new NKG wires along with a set of 6ES. Should I also be concerned with boost leak or just focus on the plugs for now and see how it turns out?

Throw in the plugs and give it a try.

Start with new plugs, gap them at .028". You're experiencing spark blowout.
