hello group i just purchased a 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS from a guy in Brooklyn New York any how this morning as i was going thru all the weird shit he had thrown in the trunk i came across theses two brackets anyone know where they go on the eclipse id like to put them back where they came from?

There are two plates like this (L & R) that help clamp the front bumper cover to the supporting metal. They're sort of big washers -- help distribute the stress, minimize risk of cracking/tearing around the bolts. Put an 'M' in place of the 'X' and you get the Mitsubishi part number.

I have no clue why you have two different sizes with the same number. That's weird.

Can you guess who has recently replaced his bumper cover? :)
