Ok so i have a 92 tsi awd that has a 255, big 16g, 3in exhaust, fuellab afpr, 680cc injectors and a lc1 wideband. I got the car with all this stuff on it and it was pretuned on 91. Im having some weird afr when i hit about 5500 during a wot pull. If im half throttle its no where near as bad. Here's a couple logs of a 3rd gear pull one of them is a wot and the other is half.

ok i went advanced but i cant find the files when i go to find them. It finds ecmtuning but it wont find my datalogs. But when i open link there there. im confused

You wouldn't happen to be simulating your narrowband would you? In the past I had an issue where my car would inexplicably run lean at a certain rpm / load. Please keep in mind I was on a different tuner than link but figured it might be something to mention here.

thanks snowboarder. ok here are the logs. the first one is the half throttle. Im pretty sure that it isnt in narrow band simulation but ill double check hopefully you guys can help.

You do have narrowband enabled but no pin assignment . You also have a dtc for maf. You are using a stock maf right?

Yeah im using stock maf. It went haywire so we changed it out. Then the other day I changed the clutch out and forgot to plug it back in but I thought I cleared the code for it.

What do u mean I dont have a pin assigned for narrowband? Should I be simulating it or no?

Assignment is for logging aftermarket sensors. This is done in the ecu input tab. Is the lc1 in the front o2 bung? What pin are you using on the ecu? Clear the dtc again and make sure the maf issue is resolved.

In addition to the above questions, here's some other things you need to address.

1. Your DA timing table is TERRIBLE. You have massive jump that can cause major issues. Please load the Evo 8 mod1 TmngMaxOct table now.
evo8v3settings [ECMTuning - wiki]

2. Your DA fuel table needs some work. You don't want to be making jumps of over a point of AFR (e.g. 12.5 to 11.2). The transition needs to be smooth. You can either redo the table or load the Evo8 mod1 table and then adjust the bottom right corner to target 11:1.

3. Is your idle tune already dialed in?

4. Read these:

Ok will do. But not to sound like a moron or anything why are my afr's going up to 19k and sometimes higher?

Ok well I got the evo8 settings on the car but now its to icey to try any 3rd gear pulls. Although it would be really fun to go play around on it but id rather have this thing right before any abuse goes to it.

Clear code and post a log with the new tables when weather permits. Also figure out if the lc1 is in the front o2 bung and what pin its using on the ecu .

I cleared the code and it hasnt came back on yet also assigned lc1 to the front o2. Also notice my wideband gauge reads like 14.8 when link says its 15.8 and so on. Is this common or what do I need to fix that issue. I thinks its going to be a little better tomorrow just really cold out. I noticed im getting knock while cruising at 55-70 so im going to play with it a bit to try and straighten it out. I watched a bunch of the tuning videos and it all makes sense now. Ill see what I can do with it then come back. Thanks guys

The logged value can be off from the gauge. What wire do you have going to the ECU and to the gauge? You may have to set it up as a linear wideband and declare your own voltages and AFRs.

To get rid of cruise knock (which is typically phantom knock), go to the ALS/Knock tab and increase the Knock Sensor Control values to something like 3000 RPM and 25% TPS (or something that would be in the conditions you'd want to see knock).

I have a brown and a white wire going to the 4th pin in on the top left side of the big plug. Then I have a blue and a white wire running to a ground. Is this the correct way?

ok here is a couple more logs one is idle and the other is another 3rd gear.

It looks like rich knock. If your AFEst is congruent with your wideband then its definitely rich knock. Aim for 11.1-11.8 AF and you shouldn't see any knock. Then you may be able to add some timing too.

lean that biznatch out.

How big of a pain in my ass will it be to put my 1200cc injectors in and switch to e85? I mean if I already have to change all this stuff up I might as well do it at once.

So are you guys saying take fuel away and add timing? I guess im not really sure. im getting a new turbo and putting different injectors in. Then ill be at this again.
