Im from montana, born and raised for 23 years, the cars from montana, ive probably done as much, if not more true snow driving than anyone here, in fwd, rwd, and awd applications, including large equipment.

I Wouldn't be so sure about that

^Exactly! I appreciate the enthusiasm everyone has for the event, and I am glad peeps are making it happen, I just don't want to be on the recieving end of someone elses mistake.

I always give everyone shit it's what I do everyone has there motto they talk the talk but I like to get down and show some off. I remeber when I was with my1gdsm at the e85 station this guy was giving us shit for e85 in my car and we was like psshh whatever you don't know what your talking about. People always amuze me with there belligerent mindset on stuff. It's always the "other person" whether there driving while talking on there cellphones or trying to shop at walmart, they always being stupid. Sidenote... Where in mt hood are we finishing the run at?

I understand the insight, however, in reference to my 'investment' comment, you missed what I was saying.

My investment in the car is the money I have spent, its already gone, its not coming back, Im not expecting a cash return... Yes my return comes from driving it, however, Im not going to jepordize my investment by chancing someone else wrecking it for me, that would be like handing someone 7k and asking them to light it on fire for me, sorry that just isn't my style.

I am assuming as far as your comment is concerned, you think my comments were aimed at your request for a meet; I was speaking directly to those who had spoken interest in my motives for not joining the run to Mt. Hood, not your interest in putting together a meet, by all means, have at it. Im sure you are all fantastic drivers, more than capable of handling yourselves, so enjoy!

To each their own man,im merely trying to put an end to this discussion that has absolutely nothing to do with this thread. So,can anybody think of a good ending destination to this run? If I am able to go I am coming from Seaside, and there are sometimes issues with flooding etc.. So if I or anyone else ends up late we will atleast know where to go to meet up with everyone at the destination. It might be good to set up a stopping point along the way incase people get behind. Maybe in a parking lot or something along the way. I would make a suggestion if I knew the area,but I don't.

This turned into not so good news. Non the less if not allot of people show up We will not go to the mountain and i will postpone this for 1 month like i originally wanted to in order to get the word out and about.

I will still go to cars and coffee though.

Holy crap, there has been a lot of chatter since the last time I checked the thread. Late notice, but I could probably get the day off of work to meet up with some local DSM'ers. Whether that be for a cruise or just meeting and grabbing some coffee or something. I'm in Vancouver. I, right after reading this, texted my buddy who also has a DSM and asked if he was free Saturday. So, there could, possibly, be two more cars showing up. Hope to meet some of you soon!

PS: I could also meet in a month if that's what the consensus turns out to be

Lol!!! I was just talking to my wife about the exact same shit. I've never been to it,but I heard it's alot euro's and show cars. I guess it really doesn't matter though,and I've never been to it so maybe I'm wrong. Either way I'm going,no matter where it is. My wife wants to go,so I guess it's final. I'm gonna atleast show up at the meeting point,wherever it may be.

C & C is cars and coffee as you said, and it is a "meet" put on for all types of cars, every saturday, in the same spot here. Its kinda a national thing that has cropped up though, its happening in a lot of states now.
