After my income tax return hits, im strongly considering adding a DPMS 20" AR to my collection, I have a 20ga ithica deer slayer pump shotgun, knock off but just as if not more accurate browning .22LR, Ruger LCP (.380) and a Lorcin .25acp

Oh and maybe buy my old mans magazine fed SKS. Oh did I mention im still a vett on unemployment due to there being hardly any jobs in my area worth taking. So why would I spend money I can't afford to on fire arms? Because they are a good investment and this anti-gun BS is getting WAY out of control. People who legally own firearms RARELY ever use them in any crime. Oh yea and CRIMINALS DON"T FOLLOW THE LAW IN THE FIRST PLACE JACK ASSES! What makes them think that passing more laws will help?

P.S. Ruger LCP is an excellent CC gun, it's the whole reason I got my license to carry and do so everywhere I go (except the places its not legal too).

Are you able to locate a DPMS Ar? They are pretty scarce around here and was just wondering..

I'm starting to regret not ordering that 1911 when I first saw it. It's been 2.5 months now... still can't find a distributor. The good news is that it's almost all paid off. The bad news is... I want it now.

Glock 19C
3 - 15 round mags
2 - 33 round mags = lots of fun at the range LOL

I've only burned about 275 rounds through it but I do appreciate the way it fires and because it breaks down so easily clean up is a breeze......

Blew my chances at getting a co-workers Spring field AR-15....:banghead:
He had it for a couple years only burned about 200 rounds through it and offered it to me for $400 with 3 mags and the carrying case........I was broke so I couldn't come up with the money fast enough.......I'm pissed because I couldn't come up with the money fast enough......Holy Crap I need a better job....

Will-

My XDm collection. 4.5" 9mm(SS slide), 40SW(OD grip) and 45ACP. The 3.8" compacts are 9mm and 40SW, both now have the Pearce grip on all the compact mags. They make a huge difference in gripping the gun and control.

I have more toys I'll post later ;)

Do you have an XDs yet? I've been wanting one for quite a while now. But first things first....

I went to the gun store I ordered my 1911 from. Bear in mind, it's been on order for 3 months now, with no word on how long it'll be before it's in. I walk in as the owner is walking out for lunch. Go over to the 1911 case, look in and... holy crap, TWO S&W 1911 E-series pistols!!! But they're tactical versions, with rails, night sights, etc. and also priced about $440 more than the standard one that I was quoted and have on order. I talk to the kid behind the counter, ask him if maybe mine got shipped with the other ones and maybe it's in the back. He says, No, the only non-railed one he's ever seen was sold. I ask how long ago that was, and he says "A week ago." So, the gun I ordered came in, and they sold it to someone else. Now, I don't know how long it'll take to get another one in, but they have two sitting there (one in steel, one in all black) but for 50% more than what I wanted to pay. That extra amount was going to go towards either a silencer for my .22 OR another pistol (XDS?). Instead, I had them switch my special order standard 1911 to a layaway of the steel tactical one. :( The good news is, I'm supposed to be selling my ex-wife's wedding ring set to a guy this weekend, and that'll more than make up for the difference, which means that I can probably pick the gun up maybe middle of this month or so.

The bad news: Ammo is still hard to find and expensive.

That's gorgeous. I love the fluted barrel.

More pics of the new additions. Please. :)

Apparently Michigan changed the purchasing procedure laws back in December. I was under the impression that I would have to go to the sheriff's dept. to get a purchase permit and background check, then go to the gun store. Now, they do the background check at the gun store and you just take some carbon copy things to the sheriff's department within 10 days.

So this followed me home:

May as well post these up.....

Top picture

Saiga 12 SGL12-09 (Semi-Auto Shotgun with 20 round mag)
M+M M10-762 (AK47)

Bottom Picture
Colt LE6920 (AR15/M4 Carbine).

The Saiga 12 was a AK47, that was converted to shoot 12ga shells. As you can see , the body of the gun where the bolt is is the same as the AK47. The barrel and rails are different.

Almost forgot: I have had this since October of last year. It's my Grandpa's Ruger .44 Magnum carbine. When he passed away several years ago, my Dad inherited it, and he gave it to me for my birthday last year. I took it hunting for opening day of rifle season last year, but didn't even see anything. The deer I finally took, I did so on the last day of rifle season with a crossbow. :) This is the gun I will most likely be hunting bear with in a few years in the U.P. of Michigan. It's extremely short (think old-school lever action 30-30), which makes it a good brush-gun. It's also a literal blast to shoot. Might have to get a cushion for my shoulder, though. :)

Picked up this guy (XD-9) about a month ago w/ 2 16 round mags. Picked up a box of 350 rounds for $100 bucks. I have 50 rounds down the barrel, and all I can say is that I really, really like the way this gun feels in my hand, and the way it shoots.

I also own:

Ruger .22 single six
OLD ass stevens .22 bolt action
28 gauge
20 guage

I preach about the damned XD's. Absolutely love mine, quarter hole it at 25 yards no problem. Great purchase and glad you're happy with it :)

ETA: Mine is .45 and it also carries 16 rounds ;)

I thought about getting a .40 cal XD, but the price of ammo affected my purchase. Maybe for my next gun :) I shot a ruger SR-22, and if any of their other semi-autos are anything like that POS, I will never own one. Out of (10) 10 round mags, I was not able to get more than 2 consecutive shots with out a failure to load, failure to eject, double load, or not have the cartridge get stuck in the chamber. I'd have a better chance of killing an attacker by throwing the damn gun at them.

My XD is advertised at 16+1 but you can easily fit 17 in the mag + 1. I also can't get over how easy this thing is to break down. Takes all of what? 5 seconds?

I just finished my Basic Pistol Training Course so I am now eligible for my FID Card. Need to now wait on the state to send it to me. I am looking at getting a hunting rifle for around or under $450 and in .308. I also love bolt-action over semi-auto for "sniper" rifles. I have narrowed down my search to the following top 5:

1. Ruger American .308
2. Savage Axis XP .308
3. Marlin XS7c or R in .308
4. Remington 700. Not the 770.
5. Maybe a Weatherby

I was seeing if anyone has had experience or used one of the following rifles and could make suggestions. The Savage and the Ruger are almost identical except the Ruger has an adjustable trigger. I've heard both reviews opposing and for each gun. Any relevant opinions would be great.

Also, I am open to new suggestions that could help me expand my search to some extent.

Thanks and I am looking forward to be joining the Weapons Owner's Club soon as I get my FID

I use a Remington 700 5R in .308 for long distance stuff. Works superbly with handloads.

As for a stock Remington 700? Who knows. LOL
